Focus

Focus is defined by selectively concentrating on one aspect of the environment while ignoring other things. Without focus, your marketing efforts will be all over the map and that means no clear objectives or "wins" to evaluate if you've been successful or not.


Ultimately, without focus it's impossible to put your marketing plan into actionable steps. So, when you're thinking about what you want to accomplish this year be sure to focus on the task at hand; the big goal, the growth percentage or the launch of your business — and focus on achieving that goal by working it backwards. It's also important to conduct checks and balances frequently to ensure you're still on track and re-align as needed — after all they are your goals to achieve!


When taking on a new idea, task or campaign, ask yourself: How does this align with my goal for 2019? Asking yourself this question before taking on anything new will assist in maintaining your focus for the year ahead. Wishing you all a successful 2019!
