Engaging your followers or subscribers is a never-ending endeavour and it should always be top-of-mind.
Try to offer something new, unexpected or tips they can use — this will keep them coming back for more! The key is to provide a value for their time. Why should they follow your business on Facebook or Instagram versus your competition? Are you offering something new and exciting or tips that help them better their life? Keep in mind the "what's in it for me" mentality when curating your content. It's ok to offer promotions or product but you need to mix those in with valuable information and content for your audience.

Creative Tip: Keep your posts on Instagram visually appealing, yet clear in what you're trying to convey. i.e. for product promotion, take a photo of the item and include a little text overlay for context — just be careful with how much text you include, too much and your audience will scroll right by when checking their feed.
